Cutoff Dates in the "left column indicated above".
Prevent Duplicate Renewal Notices from National and reduce the cost of additional
mailings. Insure Dues are Transmitted to Department weekly.
DO NOT HOLD MEMBERSHIP DUES AT THE POST.
Membership Dues Are Pavable in Advance of The Legion Year!
Dues for 2011 should be paid No-Later-Than October 20, 2010.
If 2011 Dues Are Not "Paid-On-Time." Your Membership is:
DELINQUENT - IF NOT PAID BY JAN. 1, 2011
SUSPENDED - IF NOT PAID BY FEBRUARY 1, 2011 FORFEITED - IF NOT PAID BY JUNE 30, 2011
Important Point: Dues collected by an American Legion Post are for
all three levels, Post, Department and National. A member's annual
dues are not considered paid until paid at all three levels, thus the need|
to transmit dues weekly to Department. Collecting a member's dues at
Post level and failing to transmit Department and National Dues in a timely fashion is "illegal".
Each Post must transmit $23.50 to Department:
Department dues ($10.00) and National Membership ($13.50) dues. |
