Title: Amend the “Authority to Organize” Of the Riders Constitution of the Department of Tennessee

WHEREAS, The American Legion, Department of Tennessee Riders Constitution and Bylaws were last revised January 23, 2010; and
 
WHEREAS, The Authority to Organize the American Legion Riders in the Riders Constitution guides our every action with its guiding principles; and
 
WHEREAS, The principle, Resolution No. 35; American Legion Riders as a National Program, passed by the National Executive Committee of The American Legion, Indianapolis, Indiana October 17-18, 2007 is need of updating to the Authority to Organize of The American Legion Department of Tennessee, Department of Tennessee Riders Constitution; and
 
WHEREAS, The National Executive Committee passed Resolution 32, May 4-5, 2011 thereby amending National Executive Committee October 17-18, 2007 Resolution 35; therefore, be it
 
RESOLVED, by Greenbrier Post 45, The American Legion, Department of Tennessee, in a regular meeting assembled on 05 November, 2019 that the “Authority to Organize” to the Riders Constitution of The American Legion, Department of Tennessee shall be amended to read: “Resolution No. 35:  American Legion Riders as a National Program, passed by the National Executive Committee of The American Legion, Indianapolis, Indiana October 17-18, 2007; and subsequent Resolution No. 32 amending Resolution 35, passed by the National Executive Committee, Indianapolis, Indiana May 4-5, 2011.”
 
This is to certify that the above resolution was adopted by Greenbrier Post 45 on 05 November 2019.
